Planting trees and cleaning up backyards to prevent dengue fever

Location: Condominium da Lagoa in "Cidade de Deus" Sete Lagoas, MG; Brazil
Fruit trees were planted with TerraCottem soil conditioner under the supervision of agronomist Ana Sylvia Da Glória Soares (Verde Tudo) and in partnership with the Epidemiology Department of Sete Lagoas
Why? Ana Sylvia explains:
"To ensure a good establishment of the trees and thus increase the plant’s survival rate. Thanks to the polymers present in the formula, the trees will also require less water."
The tree planting together with the cleaning of the backyards is done in partnership between SOLARIS, a consultancy company providing social environmental assistance and the Epidemiology Department of Sete Lagoas to combat dengue fever. The works will be carried out throughout the condominium aiming at the common welfare and environmental awareness of the condominium's residents.
About Solaris
SOLARIS is a consultancy company through which they provide social environmental assistance. This project involves techno-social work inside "Condominio da Lagoa" at "Cidade de Deus" Sete Lagoas - MG.
They also count on the participation of "CAIXA ECONOMICA FEDERAL". In this project they work both on social and environmental issues and its emphasis is very much on the techno-social activities.
They´ve already had a five-month occupation period and a twelve-month occupation period in the area.
Verde Tudo was invited to participate in this project throughout the condominium, aiming at the common welfare and environmental awareness of the condominium's residents.
